We are looking for people to join the Blue Caribbean Environmental Conservation Team.
Blue Caribbean Environmental Conservation (BCEC) is looking for skilled, professional volunteers to help our expedition team in Tobago. These opportunities are open for people who are willing to commit to a minimum four-month stay and have the experience and qualifications needed to support the expedition team.
With this type of volunteer experience, you are sure to enjoy the adventure of a lifetime, gain new skills and be a part of a valuable effort to save our Marine Eco-System.
For students interested in Biology, Environmental Sciences, Medical degrees, Teaching degrees or Scuba Instructors this could be an amazing opportunity to utilize your skills while gaining some real-world experience. Volunteering for BCEC will also be very beneficial to your resume as you apply for colleges, universities or graduate schools around the world. It will show that not only are you actively making a difference in the world, but that you are also someone who has experience working with research teams and problem solving.
Keep in mind that some of the Staff Volunteer positions may require specialty skills such as SCUBA Certification, Bachelors of Science, teaching or medical experience. A minimum three month voluntary post providing the opportunity for education professions to help with educational programs within the realm of our project objectives.
BCEC expedition is coordinated by highly motivated staff on either four to six month contracts. All staff positions are voluntary and staff volunteers will be required to fund their own flights, insurance, and any personal expenses while on the expedition. BCEC will however cover your food, accommodation, ride to site from airport and any expedition related expenses while on-site.

Please also read the Reference Manual before you apply so you know how the expedition is managed and
what is expected.

A brief cover letter which answers the following questions
1. Why do you think you should be selected for the position?
2. Describe yourself in a few sentences
3. Do you feel Environmental Conservation is important and why?
4. Are you comfortable being away from home and family for an extended period of time?
5. Are you comfortable living in a dorm like environment for an extended period of time?
3. We will send you a confirmation email on the availability and answer any further questions you may have
in 2 to 5 days. At which point we will also send you a copy of the BCEC Reference Manual and a Medical
Application Form which you will have to get your doctor to complete on your behalf.
4. Email a completed Medical Application Form and Payment of the $150.00 CD deposit is required at the point.
Balance of payment will be due 8 weeks prior to project start date. Before confirming your booking you will
need to read, understand and agree to abide by Blue Caribbean Environmental Conservation's Rules and
Regulations.
